Baccarat Review

Baccarat is one of the oldest casino card games in existence and it has a reputation for being a glamorous game for the high rollers, even being immortalized in the 1st Casino Royale 007 film. Part of what makes baccarat a fantastic game is that it's very simple. When you are playing baccarat, your decisions are limited to deciding whether to bet on the dealer, the banker or even on the game being tied. Baccarat is a fun game to play and the rules are very easy to learn.

First you have to select your stake by clicking on the chips at the bottom of the screen. Click on either banker, player or tied on the table betting area (highlighted circle) relevant to your bet to place your Stake. The value will be displayed alongside the chip. Click the Clear button if you wish to change your stake at this stage. Clicking double will double the stake. Then select Deal, 2 cards are then dealt to both the player and banker face up.

Underneath the cards the value will be shown, the value of the hand is the right hand digit of the total cards value IE: King, Jack, 6 has a face value of 26 but for baccarat the hand value is 6, using this method the total of each hand will always be between 0-9. If the first 2 cards of either hand total 8 or 9, the hand is then declared a "natural" and both hands will stand. If only one of the hands is a natural, it will automatically win. If both hands are naturals and of the same value, the hands will tie, else the hand with a total of nine wins over the hand with the total of 8. No further cards will be drawn.

If the players total is five or less then that hand will receive an additional card. If the player's hand was stood and did not receive any additional cards (for example, if it was a total of 6 or 7) then the banker's hand will receive an another card if its value is five or less.

If the player's hand gets a third card then the bankers hand will only get a third card under the following conditions:

Winning or losing the game:

If your bet has been placed on the player and the player has a greater score then you will win and you will be paid evens.

If your bet has been placed on a tie and both scores are equal then you win and you will be paid at 8:1.

If your bet has been placed on the banker and the banker has a greater score then you will win and you will be paid 19:20 (5% commission).

All other bets you immediately lose the game, plus your bet.
