A story published  in a recent edition of the South Wales Echo, tells of how a sixty-two year old  lady was attacked outside her local Bingo Hall.


Doris Driscoll is 62, and enjoys a weekly game at her local Castle Bingo Club in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.


One night as she was making her way into her local bingo hall, she was attacked by an assailant who made off with her handbag. Doris was not in a position so give chase, and it looked like her belongings were long gone.


That was until her granddaughter decided she could catch the villain and gave chase. Eventually the young girl did indeed catch up with the villain and managed to apprehend him until police arrived.


Thanks to the young lady's quick thinking, the bingo hall thief Philip Andrew Emery and is now serving three years in prison.
