Our researchers at Best Bingo Spots estimate there are approximately 400 UK based online Bingo websites. In a recent article we reported that 4,000,000 people play online bingo on a regular basis, but are these people the real players in the online bingo world? Best Bingo Spots have done some independent research into those websites to find out who the big players are in an industry that is seeing growth in popularity that has not been seen before.
Our researchers found 346 online Bingo websites currently operating from offices in the UK, the big brand names such as bet365, Sky Bingo, Paddy Power Bingo and 888 are all still finding the room for growth in a market that is flooding with rival websites.
In an industry that is growing as fast as online bingo is, our researchers found the most competition isn’t between the Bingo operators, but between companies offering the technical software those operators use. We took a closer look at those websites to see who the software providers were and how many websites those providers were involved in. The numbers we received back from our researchers were as follows:
We found that although there are 346 online bingo rooms currently open for business, there were not as many software providers as we first thought. Our researchers only managed to identify 28 different companies offering software to the online bingo industry. These companies offered everything from banking software, to the latest in graphics enhancements, right through to the most up-to-date bingo and slots games. Very few software providers however were offering these services to more than one or two websites. Only a handful were offering a UK wide service.
888 are reported to be providing 97 of the 346 UK based Bingo rooms with software of some kind. This means that 888 are providing software to over 28% of the current UK based Bingo rooms, and as such are without doubt the No1 Software provider to the UK online bingo industry. Their nearest competition are Electracade who provide 25% of the UK online Bingo industry with some form of software.
These two companies have a huge influence in the UK based online bingo industry and, with the exception of perhaps, Parlay Entertainment (who provide software to just over 17% of the UK online bingo industry) and Virtue Fusion (providing a respectable 13% of the UK based online bingo providers), are set to lead the way forward in the coming years.
